the prophet

whee!
hookay.... so i had a weird dream (that was oddly cohesive for a dream). anyway to make a long story short, there were some boys picking on a little praying mantis and i went and saved it in this dream. taking it upstairs to heal it (it was all battered up) it turned into a really hot guy, which you see here. i set him up in bed to heal with some tea. (after this point in the dream i went downstairs to watch the whales in our basement eat someone up... yea...)
so... as soon as i woke up i quickly jotted down a sketch of this guy which looks slightly the same but different pose. due to lack of scanner, i had to redo it all on the compie, so i opted for a stock photo to help me with it.
lyrics in background from third eye blind and on the shirt are some bump of chicken lyrics. the accessories are somewhat based on a friend of mine's, only mantis-ified. i'd like to do more of mystery mantis boy sometime... i need to think of a good name first though ><
another no backgrounder, gomen >< but there will be a big one soon, i just wanted to do something easier after the huge project i just finished.

oh yea and the title "prophet" comes from the word mantis which derives from the greek word for prophet. pretty simple huh ^^
